I love the feel and melody of this song, and it definitely suits the recent developments of the show, however there was something about it that I just couldn't put my finger on, but now I think I finally have some thoughts about it aside from how well it describes what Ladybug has been feeling. 😏😅😉🙃 I know a big fear when it comes to relationships is that you'll "miss your chance" or that the person will fall in love with someone else in the meantime, but if you follow that kind of thinking you may rush into a relationship without fully thinking through the consequences. There's a difference between drawing boundaries and taking someone for granted, and I think Ladybug is a good example of someone who's done both. In the earlier seasons (and some of the later ones too) Cat Noir was super pushy and upfront about his feelings toward Ladybug and I think she had every right to literally push him away every time, which she usually did in a very gracious yet firm way. To his credit, Cat Noir would then immediately stop and learned to respect the boundaries she had set up. Although she lost her cool sometimes, it was usually after much provoking, and while we all know Cat Noir has a gentlemanly heart with good intentions, I could understand why Ladybug would get annoyed by this half stranger boy flirting and trying to get a kiss out of her all the time when they're supposed to be saving people from a supervillain. 😏🙃 Boundaries are a good way to keep you safe physically and emotionally, and anyone who truly values you will respect your boundaries also. 💕 If someone does something you're not comfortable with, or you just don't feel ready to be in a relationship at the moment, it's okay to tell them that. If they truly love you they'll be willing to wait until you're ready and appreciate your friendship until then. 💞 (Now, I know you might be thinking WAIT Adrien who loved ladybug wholeheartedly finally accepted her rejection and turned to Marinette instead - to which I have three answers: 1. Miraculous is a unique story where the characters are under the impression the one they love is two separate people, so it's essential to the storytelling for them to fall in love with both sides of them and thus bound to happen at some point. 😏😉🐾🐞 2. It is my humbly distraught opinion that they are totally RUSHING the development of this show, the reverse love square specifically, since they did not give either character enough time to consider their feelings deeply and just gave them both a complete 180 without any real explanation. 🤦♀️😫😭😅😝😏 Realistically I think Adrien would struggle a lot more with the idea of falling in love with two people who happen to be the same person (hence the "heart to duel" in the Wall Between Us song - I mean come on! Why are they not showing that?!? 🤨😩😂🤦♀️🙃😏) and we all know he still loves both sides of her it's just ridiculously complicated because it's a kids show. 3. If you choose to look at it as Adrien moving on from one person to another, I'd like to point out that according to the vague insufficient writing of the show, it wasn't specifically Ladybug's rejection that caused him to stop pursuing her, (as even when he tried she still held a piece of his heart) but it was after he realized how wonderful Marinette was that he finally decided to let Ladybug "choose her own cheese" and went after Marinette, in which case...mmm, yeah - although it hurt at first, Ladybug would technically be better off without him and ended up finding Adrien instead who naturally was everything she ever wanted and she and Cat Noir remained good friends. (Lol this show is such a headache😅🤦♀️😏😜) So yeah, if they move on to someone else, there's someone better out there for you who will love you enough to give you the time and respect you deserve. 💖) However, even outside of romantic relationships it's easy to take people for granted, and Ladybug has often done that with Cat Noir too. One thing I love about this show is the emphasis on how important it is to tell people you care about and appreciate them, and how much it can hurt when people don't. The good thing is it's never too late to try to make amends, and even though it may take some time and hearts need to be healed, it's always better to have an honest conversation then to run away from a problem or your feelings. This song has a wishful feel to it, but almost a hopeful one too - what if you didn't wait? What if you took this chance? What if you decided today was the day you would turn things around and let the people around you know you care about them? 💞 I hope this video is a reminder that every day is a new day, and a new chance to make things right.💫 Love you always, and always a friend, Christina💞
