Who would've known splurging on a Tesla would net me $4952? All in all, the purchase costs me $72,000 before trade-in and AFTER taxes. Before buying the car, I really had no idea how much taxes and fees will be but with the help of this video, you should be able to accurate estimate the true out the door cost. The sales tax is the largest contributor to the final price and this is based on where you live in most states. For me this resulted in a sales tax of 9.25% but has quickly risen to 10.25% currently. This represents a $5000-6200 on taxes alone! Due to the global chip shortage and car price increase from Tesla, the price of a Tesla has gone up dramatically. Add on top of this the clean air vehicle rebate program reducing in value, the federal tax credit going away from Model 3s, the PG&E clean air vehicle rebate of $800, all of this results in around $5100 of rebates that is no longer available. This is not all. When going from a gasoline car to an EV, you can expect to pay about half the cost per mile in fuel/electricity. Much of the maintenance goes away such as oil changes, spark plug changes, smog checks, air intake filter changes, spark plug changes, etc. Even less apparent down the line is disc brake changes virtually goes away because the car slows itself down with regenerative braking in most cases making brake pad replacement near unnecessary. When all is considered, the car has effectively created a net worth gain of around $4952 to my bottom line. This is just ridiculous that you can buy a performance model, use it for 2 years, and still make it out like a bandit. Hands down, the best car I have ever owned in driving pleasure AND it's turned out to be a wise investment! ► More resources at my Patreon: http://www.patreon.com/BeatTheBush ► My honest reviews on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/shop/BeatTheBush ► Mint Mobile, as low as $15/month: https://mintmobile.com/bush ► Moomoo, up to 17 FREE stocks: https://j.moomoo.com/008UFx ► Webull, up to 12 FREE fractional shares: http://bit.ly/2XwlcQ4 ► Get $30 when you spend $30: https://www.rakuten.com/r/FRANCI7350?eeid=28187 ► FREE Audible Audio Book: https://bit.ly/2Z4RrN7 ► Build Credit w/ NO Credit by Self-Lending: https://self-lender.3qcw.net/YYZBP ► BeatTheBush Honey Badger T-shirt: http://bit.ly/2FBAeLA Other BeatTheBush Channels: https://www.youtube.com/c/BeatTheBushDIY https://www.youtube.com/c/BeatTheBushFoods
