There was ruckus in the lower house of the parliament today as a united Opposition reiterated its demand to sack Ajay Teni, the Minister of State for Home and the father of Ashish Teni, the key accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence. The Opposition cutting across party lines has demanded the resignation or the sacking of Ajay Teni after his son Ashish was named in an SIT probe as the key accused in the 'murder' of farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri. Meanwhile, the Government has denied the sacking of the Minister saying that the matter is sub judice and that a father cannot be punished for the deeds of his son. The Upper House of Parliament, Rajya Sabha also saw turmoil after Derek O Brien and other Opposition members raised both Lakhimpur Kheri and the suspension of the 12 MPs from the Winter Session of the Parliament.
