This is one from scratch switch that’s not time-consuming or difficult at all - homemade Mayo! I’ve been making my own for years now, but a couple months ago I bought Mayo from the store for the first time in a while and couldn’t believe how much junk was on the ingredient label even in the healthy brands. This recipe only has 4 ingredients and you probably have them all on hand: - 3 eggs - 1 t salt - 1 T lemon juice 16 oz. Avocado oil Add everything to a quart jar in the order the ingredients are listed, then blend with an immersion blender from bottom to top for about a minute. That’s it! Idk exactly how long it stays good in the fridge but we usually go through a quart in 2 weeks and it’s definitely good that long. You can add a tsp of whey before you blend to make it last even longer. Whey is an awesome natural preservative I personally only use avocado oil because it’s so mild. Mayo with olive oil is very strong IMO - but some people love it! So if you want to try that maybe just cut the recipe in half to see if you like it. #homestead #recipes #fromscratch
