So here are the 5 steps to change your life for the better: Step 1: Pre-contemplation This is where we all came from. It’s where we begin. This is when we don’t see and acknowledge the need to change. While pre-contemplation must be totally overridden, this stage provides us with a point of reference. Step 2: Contemplation Then you come at the stage of contemplating about the reality of your state, your current situation. And you slowly realise that things are not happening the way you want it to be. The portrait of a future that you would like to paint is getting farther from your current deeds. Step 3: Determination Determination is an important part of your long-awaited twist. How can you take a 360-degree twist when you’re not fully determined to achieve it? It’s all about having the right attitude to confront a certain goal. Step 4: Action Action is the most important step. But it requires a lot of thinking to be able to perform the right action, which is why all the other prior steps are equally important. On the other side, when we do things without planning, we have greater tendency to fall. Step 5: Maintenance We know for a fact that successes can go spiral down as fast as how the success was achieved when the effort to maintain it is poor. It’s probably about complacency, or this mentality that since we already felt a sense of achievement, we’re done. Maintenance is just as valuable as action. When you can’t make a routine out of this successful behaviour, you will definitely fail in the end. Extra Step: Relapse When we feel like we have already achieved our goals and we’re able to maintain the success that we’ve dreamed of, we still face challenges sometimes. There are no guarantees. Think about new trends, new aspirations, and definitely higher goals. You can achieve these if you stay inspired and happy with what you’re doing, so much so with what you’re seeing. When you feel good about yourself, you have the confidence to take things to the extra mile.
