AMD's Radeon RX 5000 Series graphics cards have been out for a while now. Have they gotten better since launch? Are they now worthy of your hard-earned cash? While it helped AMD gain a little bit of market share, it didn’t quite achieve what AMD had hoped for. Whilst the cards offered competitive raw graphics performance, they were constantly overshadowed by the fancy features offered by its competitors. Today, we will revisit the RX 5500 XT, 5600 XT, and 5700 XT. We’ll see whether they are still good today as barebones graphics cards for gaming and content creation. Why did we choose these 3 cards? They are currently AMD’s best offerings for the three market segments; the sub-1,000, 1,500, and 2,000 Ringgit Malaysia price points. Of course, if you’re familiar with AMD’s graphic cards, you will know that the drivers are one of their weaknesses. When the 5700 XT first launched, users were reporting issues such as black screens, monitor issues, and other minor bugs. While those issues should be fixed by now, we also want to see if the driver updates have further optimized gaming performance and content creation, especially after Adobe released hardware encoding for Premiere Pro earlier this year.
