The last decisive battle between the Soviet Red Army and the Germans was in Berlin, for over a month. Almost a last-ditch effort for the Germans, desperate as they were and with defeat staring large, before they finally capitulated on May 2, after the city was completely run-over, and devastated. It had come a full circle.
