The focal species for Save the Giants is the critically endangered Giant Otter. Currently fundraising to build a science center in the village of Yupukari. This center will be a hub for all the conservation work Save The Giants is doing in the field, a place to store field equipment, a place for researchers to stay but most importantly a science center for the entire community to have access to more educational opportunities in STEM. It will have computers for use to the community and for entering critical data to the STG otter database, a wet lab and an opportunity for them to educate the guests about the important conservation projects taking place in communities.
