Paul von Hindenburg is a key figure in 20th-century history. At the outbreak of World War I, he became world-famous as the victor of Tannenberg and commander-in-chief of all German armies on the Eastern Front. In 1916, Hindenburg and his right hand man Erich Ludendorff were appointed de facto leaders of the Central Powers’ military effort. They supervised the Rumanian campaign, the unrestricted submarine warfare, support for the Russian Revolution, the Caporetto battle in Italy, and Germany’s final offensives on the Western Front in 1918. After the war, the Field Marshal would become President of the Weimar Republic and, in 1933, appoint Adolf Hitler to the Reich Chancellery. Major Intonio presents Hindenburg's WWI memoirs in 24 parts. Stay tuned and subscribe so as not to miss anything.
