As a former skinny guy turned online fitness coach I get asked is it better to cut or to bulk first and my answer to that question is it depends. So since I'm not able to directly asses your specific situation I will give you my best advice from a distance. If you are ok with the small amount of body fat that you have I recommend that you lean bulk first and then do a mini cut to trim the unwanted body fat at the end. This way you will building the maximum amount of muscle and become athletically built. If you are not ok with your body fat then you should do what is called a recompostion where you will burn fat and build muscle at the same time.
