How To Reset Linkedin Password In this quick tech how to video, I’m going to show you how to reset your Linkedin password, both if you know your current one, and also how to reset it if you do not remember it. I’ll also show you where to enable two-factor authentication as well if you want to do that. Linkedin recently suffered from a major security breach, where the data of 700 million, or 92 percent of its users, were accessed and put for sale on the dark web. This makes changing your password, something you should be doing regularly, even more important. To do this, open the Linkedin app on your mobile device, and from the home screen, tap your profile icon on the top left. In this menu, tap Settings on the top. Next, choose Sign in and security, and then on the next screen, select Change Password. If you know your current password, go ahead, and enter it at the top, and then put your new password below, and then confirm again. It’s also a good idea to leave the next setting to yes, which will require all your devices to reenter your new password to sign in. If you do not remember your current password, just tap Forgot your password at the bottom, make sure your correct email address is entered, and then tap Reset password. It will then email you a password reset link, where you can finish up there. And finally, once you’ve updated your password, you can enable two-factor authentication for extra security. From back at the home screen, tap your profile icon, Settings, and then Sign in and security again. This time choose two-step verification and then tap Setup. Choose your preferred verification method, I usually do Phone Number, and then hit Continue. Make sure or enter your phone number, and then enter your Linkedin password. Tap Send Code and it will text you a verification code. Enter the 6 digit pin and then hit verify. And that’s how you reset your Linkedin password and enable two-factor authentication.
