Romanian Alexandra Ștefania Uță struck gold in the women’s 400m hurdles at the European U20 Championships in Tampere, Finland. 🥇 (09 AUG 2025) The final was pure drama, decided over the very last hurdles. Just two years ago, at only 15, Uță took bronze — but now, at 17, she stunned everyone by denying France’s Meta Tumba the chance to add a European U20 crown to her world U20 title. Alexandra surged at the last moment, winning by just one hundredth of a second! ⚡️ Not only did she run a new personal best, but she also smashed a 20-year-old championship record with a time of 55.55s. The previous record of 55.89s was set in 2005 by future two-time world champion Zuzana Hejnová. This feels like only the beginning for Uță… with her talent, fire, and poise, I can’t help but see shades of Femke Bol in her potential. ✨ • 🎬 Edit / GraphicFX:Tony T. 📺 Toss Sports – Your Sports Destination 🔔 Don’t miss more epic athletics moments — hit subscribe and join the journey! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_yQSNK9v_0mpDywkh9H_8w #400mhurdles #runners #u20
