OpenAI has released their latest image generation model, 4o Image Generation, which replaces the previous DALL·E system. All of this is done natively in ChatGPT. When prompted to illustrate the underground structures recently discovered beneath the pyramids, 4o delivers a solid result. Comparisons with other image generation tools like Grok, Gemini Flash 2.0 Image Generation Experimental, and Reve, show a clear performance gap. However, when 4o is given up to four images as context in the ChatGPT UI, the quality improves significantly. OpenAI 4o Image Generation also handles branding and marketing design with ease, including product packaging, ad layouts, and realistic placement in environments. Beyond practical applications, 4o Image Generation responds well to creative prompts in ChatGPT, generating stylized portraits in formats like Studio Ghibli animation (often referred to as Ghiblify for short), stained glass, PS1 game graphics, and classical painting styles.
