(21 Aug 2015) North Korea on Friday threatened war on South Korea amid escalating tensions on the peninsula. Ji Jae Ryong, the North Korean Ambassador to China, urged South Korea to stop "anti-DPRK broadcasting and remove all means of psychological warfare" across the demilitarized zone by 5 pm North Korean time on Saturday (08:30 GMT) or face military retaliation. Tensions have escalated on the Korean Peninsula since South Korea accused the rival North of shelling a border town on Thursday.
