In this video I take apart at attempt to fix the cheapest AMD Radeon VII or AMD Radeon 7 I could find online. This Radeon VII initially cost around $700 in 2019 and is still a beast of a graphics card here in 2022. When released in 2019, the AMD Radeon 7 was AMD's flagship graphics card, featuring an AMD Vega 20 core, 16gb of Vram, mining optimization and many more. It rivals the Nvidia RTX 2080 in gaming and can outperform an RTX 2080 in many games as well. The Radeon VII was however, better known for being a mining card and could be pushed to its limits and outperform most other cards at mining bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The insane 16gb of Vram definitely helps it do this and alongside a very efficient cooler, this XFX Radeon VII was the more popular model out of the lot. It is also known for being the first graphics card on a 7nm scale or first 7nm graphics card. The Radeon VII in 2022 is still a good option for mining and gaming especially with it being able to rival the RTX 3060ti. I got this Radeon VII for a mere $56 total which easily makes it the cheapest Radeon VII ever sold. The card seems to have been dropped or dashed as its cooler and frame has suffered severe damage. However, the functionality of the card has not been effected. These usually retail for around $500-800 online so getting it for $56 was an absolute steal as thats cheaper than all of the cheapest graphics cards or best budget graphics cards out there. In this video we will attempt to repair this Radeon VII and see if it can be made to work.
