US President Donald Trump kicked off his Gulf tour with a record-breaking $600 billion investment pledge from Saudi Arabia. The two sides also signed what the White House called the largest-ever arms deal, a $142 billion defence package possibly including F-35 jets. Riyadh's Crown Prince called the US the "main destination" of Saudi investment and vowed to expand deals to $1 trillion. Trump urged Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham Accords, calling it his “dream,” even as Riyadh insisted normalisation must wait for a Palestinian state. In a dramatic shift, Trump also offered Iran “a better path” and announced a rollback of US sanctions on Syria, where his team will meet the new government. Escorted by Saudi fighter jets and greeted with royal pomp, Trump said the US-Gulf alliance is now “more powerful than ever.” 0:00 INTRO 3:25 “HOPE SAUDI SOON JOINS ABRAHAM ACCORDS WITH ISRAEL” 4:25 TRUMP OFFERS “OLIVE BRANCH” TO IRAN AMID RIFT WITH NETANYAHU #donaldtrump #saudiarabia #usnews #worldnews n18oc_world n18oc_crux CRUX is your daily video news guide to the big events that are shaping our world.
