With your text node selected and a rectangle mask. Rotate the mask and adjust it to cut through your text like this. Select your text and add a merge node. Then copy and paste your three nodes like this and reconnect it to your tree. Select the original rectangle and invert the mask Now select one of the merges and key frame animate the title to break apart like this. Then animate the other merge node to continue the separation of the title. To add a shadow select the second text node and hit shift space on your keyboard. Then type drop shadow and add it. Feel free to set the shadow strength from 0 to 1 to match your animation. That’s how to cut your title in Resolve.
