Dr. Simran Kalra compares working in a permanent position to working locum tenens. Read more about Dr. Kalra here: https://weatherbyhealthcare.com/blog/simran-kalra TRANSCRIPT: I have friends who work permanent jobs and when they’re in the clinic they’re working four or five days a week. We’re five years out of residency so the longer you’re in a practice the more seniority you get. So usually it could go down to three to four days still fulltime. So, my one friend is finally down to four days a week and she’s happier, but it’s always going to be those four days every week unless you’re sick or you take extra time off to travel. Because of locum tenens I can balance my time with my family, my time for my profession, time for my patients, and time for myself. It’s really nice. I think everybody should try locum tenens. Everybody needs a little bit of change in their life and just to get to know new places, new people.
