The 2018 Acura RDX is the end of an era for this popular compact premium crossover. With room for 5-passengers, this small SUV has bulletproof technology under the hood from a 3.5L V6 engine and proven 6-speed automatic transmission. There is a new RDX coming sometime next year and it will likely have a smaller turbocharged engine and a 9 or 10-speed automatic. This 2018 RDX premium utility represents the last of this reliable design. The RDX is built off the Honda CR-V platform but differs in many ways fom different power plant to a more upscale interior. Unlike the CR-V, the RDX does not yet have android auto or apple car play or come standard with advanced safety feature. Competitors to the all-new Acura RDX include the Volvo XC60 premium crossover, i the BMW X3, Mercedes GLC, Audi Q5, Lexus NX, Jaguar F-Pace, Infiniti QX50, the Cadillac XT5, Porsche Macan and the Lincoln MKC.
