2/23/25 - 3/1/25 February 23: Spent the afternoon at my relative’s house playing different board and card games! Took the train for the first time (may or may not have gotten on the wrong one), and was super amazed by the swivel chairs. February 24: First official day of class! Went to my different (animal health, stats, and biology) lectures (thankfully T and I scouted out all the classrooms ahead of time). Bennie made it onto the big screen! February 25: Had a stats lecture and tutorial (had a good laugh at Australian bin vs Canadian trash on our laptops), and ate lunch with P and A! Also had a biology lab, and it was the introduction so it was quite boring. Did my chem lecture online back at the dorm. February 26: More lectures, and it was also a market day! Got to check out some cool stalls and have an impromptu lunch picnic with lots of friends. Was super productive at Fisher Library after. Fire alarm went off at dorm at night, went to say hi to T with M. February 27: Woke up to go to a chem tutorial, had a good study session with P and T, before heading off on the free campus bus to our stats lab. Made some new friends, and also went to a SUV cooking night! Finished off the day with researching and making plans for Mardi Gras. February 28: Went to an international student BBQ and cruise hosted by the university (more sausage…), and went to Clark Island National Park where we learned Aboriginal dances and the Aboriginal culture! Super hands on and interactive, and it was also 33 degrees celsius… guess who got sunburnt on their elbow. Ended off the day with some ice cream, and returned back to dorm to do some chores (vacuuming, laundry). March 1: Big Mardi Gras and friend outing! Met at Town Hall station, and went to take photos at a Photo Booth, as well as singing at karaoke. After that, got some food at Regent Place, before making our way to Moore Park to watch the parade! The vibes were amazing.
