LinkedIn will generate an SSI score for you for free. What's an SSI score? It stands for Social Selling index. Mine sucks, even though I'm on LinkedIn 5x a week, chatting with colleagues and clients. But why is my SSI so low? Why does my SSI suck? Here's what LinkedIn is telling me. 1. Find the Right People 2. Engage With Insights 3. Build Relationships The only SSI area where I excel is "Establish your professional Brand". It basically means I've filled out my profile. But here's the truth: I wrote my profile while drunk. So, I guess I can raise my SSI by drunk posting all day long, while spamming CEOs and SVPs with DMS . Hard pass. It's probably not a good idea to take the LinkedIn SSI too seriously. What say you?
