Don't be that guy at DGPT events who isn't ready to get out of the way. The huge upsurge in disc golf popularity and it being the fastest growing sport right now results in situations like this. Last season someone got INTO the way of a shot at the Las Vegas tournament. However, the numbskull was LITERALLY sitting on the fairway. You have to be self-aware at these courses. Where you stand at disc golf pro tour events can make a difference if you come into contact with a player's disc. Even moving around during a putt can distract a player trying to focus on the basket inside the circle. There's already enough pressure on these players to make cash. You could single-handedly be the reason why someone didn't get paid that week. ...ok, maybe that's a little bit extreme, but that's the possibility here for Gannon trying to get a birdie here. He ended up bogeying this one. The volunteer told the spectator where the disc was going to go and that it was going to circle back into him. Luckily he was nimble enough to miss it. These events, like this one: The Open at Austin, are such fun and exciting experiences for disc golf aficionados. It can be a little confusing as to where you should place yourself. Big congrats to Niklas Anttila on this win, btw! I had some tears seeing the first Finnish player to win a U.S. pro tour event! Hope everyone is enjoying the content. I kind slapped a few quick shorts together to share with yall while at the Open. I apologize for the poor delivery, but there's much more and I can focus on quality now that I'm home. This week: I will be on the bag (caddying) for Ms. Serenity Madison in the FPO 40+ masters division for the Women's Championship. Just got back from the practice round at Sprinkle Valley and I had an AMAZING time. I'm so hap-P to have found this sport and the amazing humans associated with it. TONS of content coming from this week and next! iIf you're not a Par Pal yet, please subscribe! I'd love to have you here! #pdga #dgpt #discgolf #austindiscgolf #texasdiscgolf
