In 1995, while working as a producer and advisor on a documentary about the Flying Tigers for a military TV channel, Greene was deeply moved by the strong friendship between the Chinese and American peoples. In 1998, together with Flying Tigers veterans, he formally established the Sino-American Aviation Heritage Foundation, which aims to enhance public understanding of this shared history and carry on the spirit of the Flying Tigers. From September 2 to 3, a delegation from the United States, including Jeffrey Greene, Chairman of the Sino-American Aviation Heritage Foundation, and family members of Flying Tigers veterans visited Nanjing.
