Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti announced that they were leaving to begin their own project. In this clip, Ryan Grim and Emily Jashinsky are discussing the validity of Rep. Ilhan Omar’s now notorious tweet from Monday, June 7, 2021. Grim is arguing that Omar’s claim that the U.S. has committed “unthinkable atrocities” throughout its history is accurate. He’s giving her a history lesson about WWII, and she has no idea what is happening. He even finishes it off with a sweet little jab about her lack of knowledge about the Taliban. It’s definitely an instance of secondhand embarrassment, but it’s too good not to watch. It’s now in the top five shows that we know of. We produce the others.
