Saturday October 21st, 2023 Location: CDMX, Mexico Bike: Cinelli NEMO Gravel 2024 I JUST finished getting this new bike together and Poli and I are headed out for week-long tour in La Sierra Madre Oriental en the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. Check out this new super capable “gravel bike” in this bike check. I discuss some of my equipment choices, considerations and how i am feeling about this trip, and some opinions and details of the bike itself. What a wild bike! The tour is full of some very serious climbs and descents (+/-6,900 feet!) and i’m not quite sure what to expect, as the terrain is quite rugged and unforgiving. This region of la sierra de Hidalgo is super remote with little to no GPS tracks recorded and few small mountain pueblos. The route is built as a continuation of our previous trip to this zone and spans some 300 miles and 50,000 feet of elevation gain (500km/15,000masl) I’m hyped to put this thing to the test. ✨🇲🇽🫡
