Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood says inflation in the US is becoming sticky following America’s consumer price index falling for a seventh consecutive month. "As a forerunner of the Reserve Bank's effort to rid us of high inflation, overnight America's consumer price index … eased slightly to 6.4 per cent," Mr Greenwood said. “It's the seventh consecutive month that inflation has fallen in America but the real problem is that inflation now is becoming sticky. "As we've heard from the Reserve Bank Governor today that could lead to higher ongoing interest rates and higher unemployment."
