A devastating earthquake hit north China's Tangshan City on a night 40 years ago. More than 242,000 lives were lost in the quake and about 7,200 entire families died in their sleep. The quake almost leveled the whole city, which lies just some 150 km southwest of Beijing. 40 years on, a new Tangshan City has rised from ruins, showing the world hopes are always there no matter what disaster we faced.
