The counting of votes continues even as the saffron party looks to stage a solid comeback in Delhi after 27 long years. The heated electoral battle that culminates today with the Capital verdict which is set to have far-reaching implications not only for Delhi’s governance but also for national politics. The big guns for the AAP including party convenor Arvind Kejriwal and incumbent Chief Minister Atishi are trailing. From the early leads, Kejriwal is behind BJP’s Parvesh Sahib Singh in the first round, while Atishi is trailing in Kalkaji. Among those leading are former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Saurabh Bharadwaj and Gopal Rai in Jangpura, Greater Kailash and Babarpur seats respectively.
