Generally its a story of a lion threatening a mouse having woken from his sleep, amused by its pleas, lets it go and the story unfolds to an unlikely friendship. It's a fable that has been interpreted by poets Robert Henryson, Francis Barlow, Aphra Behn, Clement Barot and Ivan Krylov. Many artists too have made their versions of the lion & mouse story like sculptors Tom Otherness, Marshall Fredericks, Peter Fritzsche and Robert (Mouseman) Thompson.
