When I first saw Rogue One I just couldn't enjoy the story because I was distracted and very annoyed by the excessive use of camera shake and ended up with a massive headache, at the time I thought I was indisposed or wasn't feeling well before watching the movie and that is why I developed the headache and didn't enjoyed the movie due to my health that day. Later I tried watching it again but couldn't stand the movie for long, and then I tried another time and I just couldn't watch the movie. So I made a test to see if I was wrong and see if the problem wasn't the movie and I found out the movie just has too much unneeded, distracting and headache inducing camera shake. I took a day and stabilized very roughly the first 8 minutes and this here is just a tiny demonstration of how badly the camera shake is. I noticed they mixed perfectly steady shots and random shakes on the same scenes which made it incredibly inconsistent and ruining the focus on the characters and story. I also noted the shake wasn't natural but added per shot, it was far more noticeable when the same shot reappeared but with no shake at all. Anyway, I finally was able to watch Rogue One (at least the first 8 minutes) without going dizzy and actually focusing on the story, it's a shame the director ruined what seems to be a really good movie just by adding a useless and/or unneeded camera shake everywhere, I wonder if I'm the only one who can't watch it due to the camera movement. I do wish Disney releases a version without the camera shake so people who can't stand the excessive shake moment can enjoy the movie as well.
