Music by James, playing on an 8 string mandole made by luthier, François Baudemont. It has a Sitka spruce top, mahogany neck, mahogany back and sides, walnut binding, ebony bridge and ebony fretboard. I’m playing with a set of Philippe Bosset silver plated copper strings with loop ends in D, A, D, G tuning. The name of the song refers to the city of Qarth, in Essos, Game of Thrones, and I was inspired to make the music after watching some great episodes from season two of the TV series.
