Climate Reality Project: Silicon Valley hosted a frank discussion of what is known as both the Utility Tax and the Income Graduated /Progressive Fixed Charge. If you live in California and pay a Utility bill, this will affect you for better or for worse and you may have heard nothing about it. The discussion was an important one because currently our Environmental Community is a bit split on what to do and how to go about doing it. This video features a panel of very knowledgeable and dynamic speakers sharing insight and varying perspectives on the issue. Speakers include: • Matthew Freedman from TURN • Mohit Chhabra from NRDC • Dave Rosenfeld from The Solar Rights Alliance • Ben Schwartz and Joe Desmond from the Clean Coalition • Josh Plaisted from Flagstaff Research Each of our speakers were given 10 minutes to explain their perspective and why it is important. The rest of the time was devoted to answering questions.
