https://mocomi.com/ presents: Hottest Place on Earth! Death Valley is a desert valley located within the Mojave Desert in California. It is a vast expanse of land covering about 3000 sq miles. Sometimes the heat is so intense that before the rain of passing clouds falls down it gets evaporated right away. Death Valley has such an arid climate because it is surrounded by mountains on all sides. Hot and dry air gets trapped in the valley, converting it into a natural furnace. The hottest temperature ever recorded in Death Valley was 134°F (57.1°C) on 10th July, 1913. Salt pans in Death Valley show that it was once an inland sea. As the Earth began to heat up, the water in Death Valley evaporated. Still, plants, animals, and humans all live here. Most of the vegetation consists of Joshua trees and bristlecone pines that are found near Death Valley’s higher locations. Death Valley animals include bighorn sheep, bobcats, coyotes, kit foxes, mountain lions and the roadrunner bird. People who live here belong to the Native American Timbisha tribe that first settled here over a thousand years ago. #HottestPlaceonEarth #DeathValley #Geography To learn more about Hottest Place on Earth, visit: https://mocomi.com/hottest-place-on-earth/ For more fun learning videos and interactive articles, visit: https://mocomi.com/learn/geography/ Watch more facts videos in one go here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amj0H6r-jSA&list=PL6vCwGtCTVtNpbEXi1Li5qQAKd_k4dhXJ Subscribe here for new and interesting content every week ► ► https://www.youtube.com/mocomikids?sub_confirmation=1 Press Bell Icon 🔔; For Latest Updates.
