The Ultimate New Tesla Owners Guide Pt 2 To watch the other parts: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuvqk7rPeEs49pZXwmBZd3uUJAHu5Gjps A lot of this relates to PT 1. Watch that here: https://youtu.be/w7Tls-qQp9Y Here are the things you should do right after you take delivery of your Tesla. 1. Get your charging at home: (1:56) Get that electrician and have them come out and install your plug for the 240v NEMA 14-50 which is 50 amps and it uses your stock charger (model 3). Remember to place your outlet close to the breaker or it could get expensive. Also, notice how I strategically placed the outlet allowing the car to charge in 3 different places in case you cant charge in your normal spot. 2. Clear Bra: (3:17) This is optional but highly recommended. Tesla's paint is very weak and can chip or scratch easily. Getting this invisible protective film on the front of your car can save your paint for many years to come. It best protects against rock chips and mostly when you have to aggressively get bugs off the front end of the Tesla. While you can do the whole car I just recommend doing the front end (fenders, bumper, hood, mirrors, headlights, and foglights. Getting your front end done should take a couple hours or a whole day depending on the shop. Price-wise, it can run anywhere from $1,000-1,700 depending on your location, quality, etc. Clear Bra Vid - https://youtu.be/FjV0JRDBgXc 3. Time to turn in your old car: (5:11) You found a dealer or went with Tesla so this should be pretty straight forward. 4. Learn how to wash your car correctly: (5:22) I did say the paint is weak. Learning how to wash your car correctly is very important even if you aren't washing it yourself! Check out these two vids on touchless - https://youtu.be/Oa9IWs6hrxY and hand wash - https://youtu.be/qTxNXCG90bM 5. Incentives and electric stuff: (6:15) You already did the research on all the rebates/incentives you can get from your country, state and electric company. Now its time to start applying and filing for these. Be sure to figure out your electric billing plan that lets you do super off-peak hours for a Tesla (EV). 6. Battery degradation: (7:10) You just got your new Tesla, now how do you make it last? The battery is the heart of the car so take care of it by learning about degradation and getting into battery healthy habits while your car is new! Check this vid out - https://youtu.be/ks_aDPSdTc4 7. Window tint?: (7:57) This is also optional but I've noticed most in the Model 3 that they are a fishbowl. My pale skin was getting burned all the time when I didn't have tint so a nice ceramic tint was a must for me. Along with tint I would recommend getting a windshield shade that blocks out a ton of heat and offers privacy as well. *Reflective Windshield Cover (Model 3): https://amzn.to/2YZ5ldn Keeping your car cool vid - https://youtu.be/H8xZzvkSS-0 8. Set the car up: (9:28) Yeah, that big screen has a ton of customizable things on it. I recommend going through EVERY setting and making each one just right for you. - https://youtu.be/0TrvLaVmopo 9. Its go time: (10:10) Now that you've protected and settled in with your car now go have a blast with it. Drive it hard, show some friends and go to a Tesla meet. Checking out a Tesla meet is a perfect place to make friends and learn more about your car! All the fun I have - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLuvqk7rPeEs7h_lMyRyGVFeCJjCsyyGxQ Subscribe!
