By providing students with practical, real-world scenarios to apply their theoretical knowledge, their participation, understanding, and involvement with the subject matter can improve significantly. In this video, we delve into what is project-based learning, how it can be applied, and what benefits and challenges it presents as a teaching method. Project-based learning is an approach where students learn through active engagement with real-world problems or challenges, requiring them to apply their knowledge and skills to solve a complex problem or answer a question. Project-based learning has several benefits, including the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, communication, creativity, and self-management skills. One of the challenges of PBL is designing a project that is challenging and achievable for all students, while also appropriately scaffolded and differentiated so that all students can participate and learn.
