Are large cap funds better than mid and small cap funds ? The answer lies in your objective of investment, your risk taking capability and your goal... So if you can take higher risk, you should expect higher returns and can invest in Mid and small cap funds.... Keep in mind that these are more volatile and can go negative as well with higher magnitude... These funds should be preferred in your investment duration is long enough (more than 10 years). Whereas, large cap funds are more stable than mid and small cap and are less risky... With less risk, you would expect lesser returns as well..
