Today I will be your personal guide on how to install the Korky Quietfill Complete Kit. The first step is to shut off the water supply to your toilet by turning the valve clockwise. Flush your toilet to rid excess water in the toilet. Next, sponge out the remaining water in the toilet tank. Place a bucket or pale under the toilet tank to catch the excess water from the supply line and toilet tank. Disconnect the water supply line and unscrew the mounting nut. Pull up on the old valve and lift out of the toilet tank. Locate and remove all old nuts, washers, and bolts from the toilet tank. Carefully lift up on the tank and remove from the bowl. Remove the old tank-to-bowl sponge gasket. With a large wrench remove the old mounting nut and pull the old flush valve and flapper out of the toilet tank. Discard all removed components. Place your new korky flush valve into the toilet tank, and slide the chipboard washer over the threads. Hand-tighten the mounting nut. Place the new red sponge gasket over the mounting nut threads. Carefully set the tank onto the bowl. Using the new bolts, rubber washers, washers, and b hex nuts, included in the packaging, attach the tank to the bowl while applying downward pressure to keep the tank level. Tighten the bolts in an alternating fashioned to ensure a proper seal of the red sponge gasket. Do not over tighten the bolts; doing so may cause the porcelain to crack. Next, set the height of the flush valve. Loosen the locknut and extend the overflow tube until the top of the overflow tube is one inch below the flush lever nut, and hand-tighten the locknut. Measure the distance from the tank hole to the water line inside the toilet tank. Next, adjust the height of the fill valve by turning the upper half of the fill valve counter-clockwise to unlock and pull up until the valve matches the previous measurement. Lock that fill valve in place by simply twisting the upper half clockwise, as a double check make sure the groove matches up with the pegs. Insert the tamper proof key to prevent further height adjustment. Place the Korky Quietfill toilet fill valve into your toilet tank and hand-tighten the mounting nut. Insert the metal clip on one end of the refill tube and attach onto the overflow tube, then install the opposite end to the fill valve. If kinking occurs, simply cut the refill tube with a scissors to shorten the overall length. Attach the flapper chain to the hole most directly above the flapper with minimal chain slack. Reconnect the water supply line. Then turn on the water supply line by turning the valve counter-clockwise until fully open.
