In this tutorial, I'll show you how to add text in Premiere Pro. Adding texts on Pr has improved a lot over the last few years. Now, Premiere Pro has added a tool called Type Tool. It's quite easy to use but complicated to master. You could easily increase or decrease the text size, and change font, background, transparency, font color, text position, edit, etc. Important to be aware that without selecting the "Selection Tool" and selecting the text layer, changing text properties won't change the values of the current text layer!
