Earlier this week, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Parliament defended the fall of the Indian Rupee. The value of the rupee fell to 80 rupees to a dollar before recovering from that level. Overall, the rupee has depreciated 6 per cent to the US dollar since the beginning of 2022. Foreign brokerages like Nomura and Goldman Sachs are now forecasting the rupee to fall by another 1.5-2 per cent to 82 rupees to a dollar. In this video for ThePrint, Shubham Batra explains on how one should look at the fall of the domestic currency. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Join our channel to get access to perks.
