Mawlay (مولاي إني ببابك قد بسطت يدي) is a Traditional #Mystic #Sufi song from #Egypt. It was composed by the Egyptian musician and composer Baligh Hamdi (بليغ حمدي). It is a song that is widely sung and broadcast on TV and Radio stations during the Holy Month of #Ramadan in many Islamic countries of the Middle East and North Africa. Its lyrics say "مولاي إني ببابك قد بسطت يدي. من لي ألوذ به إلاك يا سندي." (mawlay 'iiniy bibabik qad basatto yadi man li 'aludho bihi 'iilaak ya sandi) which means "O Lord, I knocked at your door, Hear my prayers and my plea. Thou art my only shelter, refuge and support." Happy Ramadan to all those who observe it and do the ritual Fast. Or as Egyptians say "Ramadan #Kareem" (رمضان كريم#) which translates to "the Holy Month of Ramadan is Generous and full of Grace". Goselli presents to you in this video an arrangement for #Violin (music sheet) of this piece. Hope you like it and learn how to play it. Till the next time, stay safe and have a nice warm day. Ma3a salama.
