Astigmatism symptoms often includes blurred, fuzzy or skewed vision. Astigmatism is often caused by a curvature to the cornea - the clear window to the eye. Not fully described in this short video is how astigmatism can also be caused by the curvature to the lens inside the eye, however, the end result is the same. For most people astigmatism is not a disease but can progress and change with age. For some unlucky individuals, other eye diseases such as keratoconus can result in extreme levels of astigmatism.
