A plane carrying 181 people has driven off a runway and crashed at Muan International Airport in South Korea. The aircraft was landing before it deviated and plunged into a fence on Sunday, killing 28 so far, reports say. Fire authorities were dispatched to the scene with plumes of smoke seen billowing from the site. The doomed Jeju Air Flight 7C2216 had departed from Bangkok, Thailand, according to reports. Yonhap news agency reports that 28 people have died, but officials said they couldn’t confirm the reported casualties. Authorities did say that two people onboard were evacuated to safety.
