WHAT MY PREGNANT WIFE EATS IN A DAY 1ST TRIMESTER EDITION Jackie here. I’m taking over today! Our everyday goal with eating is to eat the best ingredients to minimize inflammation. With healthy weight gain from baby, the last thing you want is EXTRA inflammation. It’s not good for mom or baby. Do I eat perfectly every day? Absolutely not. But I really do try to find healthy alternatives for “cravings” instead of just inhaling processed crap. I’m a very routine person so besides dinner by Elliott’s Kitchen it looks pretty similar to this everyday. @lilynicholsrdn has an amazing book called Real Food for Pregnancy. Whether you’re trying to conceive or already pregnant, I highly recommend investing in this book for yours and baby’s health. I follow it as closely as possible but don’t live and breathe by it either. It’s a great resource and great page to follow! Throughout the day I drink 120 oz of reverse osmosis water. I sprinkle in a little @redmondrealsalt (probably a tsp) into each 40 oz bottle to get some needed minerals back in. Here’s a sample of what I eat during 1st trimester: 8am: @santacruzmedicinal electrolyte drink (orange) @tradmedicinals peppermint green tea 4 farm fresh eggs from @utahnaturalmeatandmilk Prenatal vitamins 11am: Homefries (3 medium Yukon gold potatoes fried in avocado oil, salt, pepper, and a LOT of garlic powder) 1pm: 5-ingredient smoothie (1/2 avocado, frozen blueberries, frozen sliced strawberries, water, @just.ingredients vanilla bean protein powder) Banana 4pm: Elliott’s Kitchen Dinner (pictured - grilled peach summer salad with grilled chicken). Red meat is so beneficial during pregnancy, we mostly try to eat red meat for dinner but this happened to be grilled chicken night. 7pm: @just.ingredients coconut chocolate protein shake (1 scoop with water) @abigails_oven cinnamon swirl sourdough bread with grass-fed butter @simplemills honey crackers #eatinaday #eat #pregnancyeats #healthyeats #cleaneats #pregnant #firstrimester #sampleday #wife #baby2
