Products must have a best buy date or expiration date or best by date permanently on each individually unit. If you're using FBA, you need to make sure that your product is within a 50-day period prior to the expiration date. Amazon will actually pull the product to dispose of it. And they'll charge you a pulling fee as well, if you're utilizing FBA for that purpose. If you're using the FBA system, you must ensure that all of your products are going to arrive on time and in a good condition. Food must keep food from contamination, melting, damaging, or spoiling. You must ship food with enough of its shelf life, meaning you must not remove or alter the expiration date. When you sell products in a multi-pack, the expiration date on the multi packaging must match the product's expiration date. So if you're shipping a jar of salsa and it goes bad within about three or four days, that's going to be a problem for the customer.
