Mahatma Gandhi in Ahmedabad - History of Sabarmati Ashram || अहमदाबाद में महात्मा गांधी - साबरमती आश्रम का इतिहास : - The Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad was very important to Mahatma Gandhi and to the Indian freedom struggle. Gandhi drove all of the major activities for independence and societal upliftment from the ashram, which was popularly known as the Sabarmati Ashram. Gandhiji stayed there for many years before finally proceeding on a Dandi March to break the salt law on 12 March 1930. Before starting the march, Mahatma Gandhi declared that he would not return to the ashram until the country had achieved independence.
