“I’ll have your back” is a “safety pin” song, written to inspire people to stand up for vulnerable members of society and to comfort victims of bullying, discrimination and hate crimes by letting them know that there are people willing to defend them. My aim is to use the communicative power music and to draw upon my experience growing up as the daughter of a holocaust survivor to inspire people to stand against things that they consider to be wrong.
