The Eastern Box Turtle (Terrapene Carolina Carolina) can be found along the east coast of North America, from Mexico to Canada. It is one of the subspecies of Box Turtles (Terrapene Carolina) which also include Florida Box Turtle (T.C.Bauri), Three Toed Box Turtle (T.C.Triunguis), Gulf Coast Box Turtle (T.C.Major), Mexican Box Turtle (T.C.Mexicana) and the now extinct T.C.Putnami. Tuttle had been living in a fish tank with no direct sunlight and being fed dog canned food, berries and some veggies. His condition was not bad but not optimal when we decided to bring him home. He had signs of shell rot, long beak and nails and possibly Ca and vitamin D3 deficiency. This is the first of a series of videos in wich we will be introducing Tuttle to different foods in hope that he will have a better nutrition from now on. Video: Ivan D.
