CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — East Cooper and Charleston's Habitat for Humanity organizations are set to merge later this month, forming a single entity under the Charleston Habitat for Humanity name. The merger aims to enhance their ability to serve the community by expanding their coverage area and increasing the number of homes built annually. Lynn Bowley, CEO of the newly combined organization, said, "It does mean more work, but it also means that we can serve more families." The merger will allow the organization to pursue larger goals for affordable home ownership.
