https://www.analog.com/en/product-category/magnetic-field-sensors.html?ADICID=VID_WW_P48001 The ADMT4000 multiturn sensor is placed at the end of the steering motor shaft opposite a di-pole magnet and simply replaces the motor commutation shaft position sensor. The ADMT4000 will continuously record angle and multiturn rotations of the motor shaft without power (during key-off) or contact. On Key-on the SbW system will immediately read back the correct steering angle information. The ADMT4000 simplifies the SbW actuator design, is easy to integrate and reduces size, weight, and costs of the SbW actuators eliminating the need for: 1. Gearing in combination with single turn sensors 2. A linear transducer including harness and connector 3. The need to continuously power the ECU during key off By using ADI´s and worlds first single chip multiturn position sensor, OEM’s and Tier 1 can make significant savings in the size , weight and costs on SbW actuators or improve driving range by eliminating the need to continuously power the System during key-off.
