To give you a brief, UCC is a proposal in India that is aimed at replacing personal laws based on religions, customs, and traditions with one common law for everyone irrespective of religion, cast, creed, sexual orientation, and gender. This means that existing personal laws based on religion like the Hindu marriage act (1955), the Hindu succession act (1956), and the Muslim personal law application act (1937), will technically be dissolved. After Triple Talaq being declared Unconstitutional, other practices like Polygamy, Nikah Halala etc have been debatable and against Fundamental Rights of an individual.
